History of jigsaw puzzles...
The history of puzzles dates back thousands of years to the time of ancient civilizations. The first jigsaw puzzles were created in England in the 18th century. According to history books, it began when a map of Europe was pasted on a piece of wood and each piece was cut out. Originally invented for educational purposes to help children learn geography, the concept of reconstructing pictures became a hit and became popular until the 1900s, when it developed a cult following.
The first jigsaw puzzles were released in the 1760s, and by the 1800s they became a popular game for children. In the 1900s, it spread all over the world as a game that adults could enjoy. It was a groundbreaking activity at the time because the puzzle-solving kept people hooked, and the intellectual ingenuity kept them entertained and aroused their curiosity. At a time when it was considered a relative luxury, it was mostly owned by upper-class families.
As times change, the quality of puzzles also changes. As technology has improved, materials have changed, and mass production has become easier, there is no doubt that puzzles have remained a source of constant interest for people throughout their long history. Puzzles are once again gaining popularity in modern times. It stimulates and engages the mind, gathers friends, challenges puzzle makers, gives a sense of accomplishment, and today provides endless entertainment for people of all ages.
